Featuring Modern European cuisine, The Old White Bear is a restaurant and bar offering unpretentious, wholesome and good value food.

The daily changing menu features an eclectic selection of starters, mains and puddings using the finest seasonal ingredients. Favourites such as pan fried scallops, char-grilled tuna, rack of lamb or roasted seabass offer a choice of light, uncomplicated dishes one can eat every week – ideal for the regulars who may have been walking on nearby Hampstead Heath or shopping on the High Street. A selection of wines to suit every dish and palette accompanies the menu.

Our lunch menu now features The Hampstead Butcher’s own delicious sausages.

The interior has been restored to create a stylish yet informal ambience: 19^th century English pine dressers, tables and the central bar, colourful tile tabletops and floor area and warm fires. Add the final ingredient of friendly, efficient service and the welcoming ‘home from home’ feel is complete.
